An employer in the San Diego area is looking for a fully remote Cloud Security Architect to join one of the worlds largest financial organizations. This individual needs to be very organized and independent. This individual will be supporting security on multiple cloud accounts and responsible for finding solutions for infrastructure, firewalls, multiple users, O365, security tooling/controls that the company uses to protect internal data, and end point work stations. This organization is in a hybrid cloud environment between their Legacy platform and majority in AWS. This Architect will deal with upwards of 100+ AWS cloud accounts consistently securing and architecting solutions at a large scale. 60% of their time is focused on the company's security projects/accounts. They will be meeting with other members on the same projects, documenting, drawing, designing solutions related to the company's security work. Ex: An email will come in to review that includes an architecture project with listed security issues, they will analyze/respond with their suggested solution, then have a review meeting to discuss the project scope and build out the roadmap of the project with the team. They will be interfacing directly with other teams like the global technical service team, cloud teams, legacy data and network teams, and work station engineering teams. 30% of this individuals time will be spent collaborating with the teams and high level stakeholders including arc review meetings to discuss project updates that come through, and internal organization meetings. They will also help act as the SME to lower level engineers who need high level support. The other 10% will be training, onboarding, updating, and documenting.

Finance/Mathematics Industry or Background

Experience working in a Fortune 500 Company
2 - 3+ years experience being an architect designing, engineering, and securing hybrid infrastructure creating automated solutions.

Experience working on large scale projects that iteratively transitioned security models to next generation solutions.

3+ years of direct experience with AWS Cloud or equivalent (Azure, OR GCP, OR Oracle Cloud)

Deep understanding in determining security risks within SaaS, PaaS and IaaS environments and integrations

Experience in threat detection, monitoring, log management, incident response, and forensics on different tiers of infrastructure (i. e. working with terraform OR pipeline OR chef OR puppet)
