Bird Rock Systems is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer for the Southwest US region (Los Angeles or Orange County area).

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure.

Main Duties

• Contribute to the security, networking, and automation of Azure architecture
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide operational support to customers in Azure
• Conduct cloud security analysis, recommendations and configurations of Microsoft EMS, InTune, Defender for Cloud (MS Defender for Azure/Security Center), Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Office 365, Microsoft for Identity, Microsoft Information Protection/ Azure Information Protection, Azure Sentinel
• Perform technical health checks for Cloud environments
• Support proof of concept and production deployments of cloud technologies
• Collaborate with team members for cross-domain, multi-cloud, and hybrid solutions
• Share knowledge with team members and partners

Qualifications

• Ability to lead projects
• History of performing hands-on work to solve complex technical problems
• Strong knowledge of industry trends
• Ability to work on a team as well as independently to achieve team goals
• Understand Intune
• Understand Azure Security Center
• Understand Microsoft Azure Cloud Security strategy and architecture
• Understand Enterprise Mobility and Security Suite (EMS)
• Understand Advanced Threat Protection (ATP)
• Experience in operation and configuration of both Windows and Linux systems
• Cloud security and architecture related certifications
• Security related certification
• Expertise in Python, Git, Azure Resource Manager, Azure Blueprints and SDN
• Agile/SCRUM experience
• Familiarity with SOX, HITRUST/HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST standards
