Cloud Security Engineer
Location: New York, NY (Midtown)
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday - On-site. Monday/Friday Remote
Salary: $170,000 - $250,000 per year

Our client is currently seeking an Information Security Engineer to enhance their Platform Engineering team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing public cloud services, refining DevSecOps practices, and ensuring the security of a real-time syndicated loan data platform. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute significantly to a dynamic, high-growth fintech environment, focusing on safeguarding digital infrastructure and information assets.
- Azure Infrastructure Security Management: Implement and oversee advanced security tools and protocols.
- Vulnerability Assessment and Remediation: Proactively identify and address security weaknesses.
- Security Policy and Compliance: Develop and maintain policies aligned with regulatory standards.
- Application and Data Security: Strategize and implement AppSecOps engineering initiatives.
- Incident Response: Lead and manage responses to cybersecurity incidents.
- Security Awareness and Training: Foster a culture of security mindfulness within the company.
- Security Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of and integrate latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records and provide insightful reports.
- A Bachelor s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; Master s preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in application and data security engineering.
- At least 5 years in cloud infrastructure engineering and operations.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with DevSecOps tools/processes.
- Industry certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
- Proficiency in Azure cloud and observability solutions such as Datadog, Splunk, Elastic Stack.
- Strong understanding of security technologies and best practices.
