Description

The Cloud Security Engineer will be primarily responsible for continuous improvement of the cloud security posture of the Bank with emphasis on Azure and Microsoft 365. This position will also provide general support for the security operations when required.

  • Securing Cloud Technologies: Identify and implement security controls to protect cloud infrastructure and applications in Azure and Microsoft 365, including but not limited to identity and access management, CASB, information protection.

  • Preparing for Incidents: Monitor and respond to detected incidents in the cloud environment. Responsible for incorporating policies, procedures and processes of cloud-based incident response into the main Cyber Defense Incident Response Program.

  • Cloud Vulnerability Management: Provide security recommendations and work with IT to remediate vulnerabilities in the Banks cloud environment.

  • Acting as SME: Act as a subject matter expert for security tools, applications and processes including M365 Security and Compliance, Cloud App Security and Azure Security Center.

  • Hunting for Threats: Develop a program to proactively hunt for threats in the cloud environment and recommend remediation measures.

  • Keeping Abreast of Cloud Technologies: Maintain and continuously update a good working knowledge of relevant cloud platforms and technologies, including emerging technologies.

  • Logging, monitoring and responding to detected incidents:(shorten). Develop and refine our responses to various incidents including but not limited to malware infections, data breaches, website defacements, and client account takeovers. Also, schedule and conduct tabletop tests with various departments. In addition, enhance and maintain the Incident Response program.

  • Optimizing Processes and Technologies: Optimize security technologies and processes for greater efficiency and protection.

Performing Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned. For example, sharing emerging security threats, assisting with investigations, recommending enhancements to security policies and procedures, and participating in audits, exams or both

  • Minimum bachelors degree (B.S.) in related field or equivalent.

  • At least 3 years experience in information security engineering and architecture.

  • At least 3 years experience securing Microsoft 365 and Azure.

  • Preferred certification in Azure Security Technologies (AZ-500), as well as security certifications (CISSP/CCNA/Security+)

  • Working knowledge of various technology platforms and security controls within.

  • Working knowledge of various security frameworks (for example, MITRE ATT&CK framework and SANS Top 20 Controls, and NIST Cybersecurity framework

  • Exceptional organization, communication and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and manage deadlines.

  • Develop Visio diagrams including data flows, process mapping, and context diagrams.

  • Must possess a high degree of integrity and trust.
