We're currently looking for a Cyber Security Analyst on a full time, permanent basis. This position sits within the IT Department. We operate a hybrid working model and are flexible on the location of this role.

The job

Reporting to the Cyber Security Manager, on a day to day basis, you'll be involved in the following:

  • Work closely with the Cyber Security Manager, to identify and provide prioritisation and guidance on improved cyber security incident response processes and procedures working with our vendors and key partners to deliver these improvements.
  • Work closely with the Cyber Security function to deliver an improved IT security landscape, through the development of advanced security monitoring, analysis and threat management across ACCA systems and infrastructure Manage reporting dashboards of Cyber Security and governance of ACCA's IT services.
  • This includes alerts, escalations and analysis of security events and incidents identified via technical security platforms.
  • Provide Security guidance, assistance and approval for new and updated solutions which will be proposed through the Technical Governance Forums.
  • Act as a central security resource to manage BAU security requests and incidents.

The person

We're looking for someone who has the following experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, or an equivalent level of experience.
  • An IT Security background, with experience of working in a BAU support or Incident Response environment.
  • Broad background knowledge of cyber security topics, with demonstrable evidence of working on SIEM platforms, security monitoring and analysis technologies and managing incident responses.
  • Advanced working knowledge of IT Security systems \ techniques, such as Microsoft EMS, network security, web and email security.
  • Working knowledge of cloud security.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence co-workers, senior management and 3rd parties.
  • Recognised industry security qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
