This includes the data, analytics, and technology to unlock the value of differentiating our branded channel experiences, proposition, price and communication; as well as paper-free sustainable ambitions.
This exciting opportunity is within the Personalised Experiences and Communications (PEC) platform for a Dev Ops Engineer. As the Dev Ops Engineer you'll lead, direct and shape approaches to solving technical challenges and translating business requirements into technical solutions. You will work in a highly collaborative way to drive efforts to create, build, support and improve our software working closely with the product and engineering teams with lots of exciting new challenges. You'll be a core contributor to ensure good quality and engineering practices are followed in accordance with engineering transformation strategy.

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

Here’s where you’ll make a difference:
We are looking for someone who comes from a software engineering or database engineering background that has a solid understanding of DevOps practices, processes and supporting tools.
- You will be responsible for supporting the build the deployment processes for Microservices on both Private and Public cloud.
- You’ll focus on the DevOps elements of the software engineering role, helping us to deploy software regularly and smoothly while continuously improving and developing our processes.
- You’ll help us to learn and implement the best use of DevOps tools, like Jenkins, source control platforms such as GIT, plus how to containerise and maintain our infrastructure platform.
- Involved in building DevOps pipeline and maintaining It
- Configuring Urban Code Deploy
- Configuring tools that do automated test script.
- Design and implement secure Automation solutions for our Develop, test and production environments.
- Build and deploy automation Monitoring and analysis solution
- Support and work alongside cross functional different agile teams on latest technologies
- Iterate the best practices to increase the quality of Deployments.
- Sustain and improve the process of Knowledge sharing throughout the engineering teams.

What you’ll need -

We are looking for someone who comes from a software engineering or database engineering background that has a solid understanding of DevOps practices, processes and supporting tools.
As a minimum to be considered, we would like to see demonstrated experience of:
- Hands-on practical experience in software engineering and DevOps
- Proven experience and understanding of modern engineering practices
- Proficiency in automation
- Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Hands on experience in Python, Bash or PowerShell
- Hands-on experience in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Hands-on experience with Helm
- Hands-on experience in software build script such as Gradle and Maven
- Proficiency in containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong understanding of SAST, DAST
- Strong understanding of Secret Management
- Good knowledge of using logging and monitoring tools
- Good Knowledge of API Gateway, VPC, Load Balancer, NAT Gateway, Subnet, Firewall
It would be great if you also had…
- Certification in GCP “Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer”
- Certification in Kubernetes Administrator (e.g. CKA)
- Certification in Administrator for Apache Kafka (e.g. CCAAK)
- Experience in multi-cloud
- Experience in Go language
- Hands on experience in Istio service mesh
- Strong observability experience: telemetry collection, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, white & black box monitoring
- Strong understanding of application resiliency and security
- Strong understanding of Runtime Security Monitoring and Remediation
- Experience of mentoring and coaching
