Public Cloud IaaS SRE Lead

Leeds, Edinburgh, London, Halifax, Bristol, Manchester – We’re happy with home working the majority of the time, however you’ll need to be in office 1 or 2 days per week under your own cost.
Salary & Benefits: The base salary banding for this role is £81,928 - £122,892 in London and £70,784 - £106,176 outside of London plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution, 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Cloud Services is looking for a Managed IaaS Lead in the SRE, Service and Automation team. Cloud Services offer a range of products and services to consumers of our cloud platforms. The Managed IaaS Lead will lead the SRE and operational teams to support and improve the Cloud Services IaaS platforms and to work with the IaaS Product Lead to define prioritise and deliver the IaaS backlog.
Specific activities which you’ll be responsible for include things like;
Managing the operation of the IaaS platforms
Ensuring the LBG IaaS platforms are operating effectively, constantly improved and automated as far as possible
Managing and getting the best out of the team of partner resources
Controls
Operating within LBG governance and specifically the Lloyds Cloud Control Framework to ensure the platforms comply with the LCCF and working with the Governance Lead to ensure the platforms have fully effective controls in place that can be evidenced automatically where possible
Operational Efficiency
Eliminating toil (tasks that are manual, repetitive, automatable, tactical or devoid of enduring value)
Improving the Service
Representing the service consumers teams in identifying and supporting resolution of impediments and issues as well as providing visibility of service status, metrics and performance (working with the Service Availability Lead)
Skills we need to see from applicants?
Solid understanding and experience working with IaaS in Azure and / or GCP
Experience managing teams in a large, complex, highly regulated industry
Negotiator to influence technical and leadership decisions to achieve the right consumer outcomes and operational needs
A good understanding of public cloud security
Experience in managing risks and controls across technical platforms
Desire to learn and cross skill to other public cloud platforms
Desirable Skills
Experience working with a broad set of Azure or GCP services and products
Previous experience running a team, managing a Virtual Machine estate
Azure or GCP Certification
