About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Architect to join our team on a permanent basis. You will develop strategic IT roadmaps, solutions, and standards for the security domain, ensuring effective governance and control and the delivery of business requirements, whilst minimising IT risk and optimising the IT estate.

We are looking for a Security Architect or other experienced professional with a specialism in Identity and Access Management. The successful candidate will architect, support the design, embed, implement, and evaluate IT security systems and assist with the development of IT security best practise. The successful candidate will also have the ability influence, drive, and provide consultancy to internal and external stakeholders at all levels on technical security matters.

The Security Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining security architectures to support NFU Mutual Business as Usual and Project activities. The Security Architect will support the delivery of solutions that ensure that NFU Mutual operates within its risk appetite for Information Risk Management.

About you

You will be able to demonstrate significant experience in an equivalent IT security architecture role, with knowledge of Identity and Access Management (including Privilege Access Management) technologies, systems, processes, and best practice whilst having a broad experience across all aspects of IT Infrastructure and service. 

You will have experience of designing security controls to meet internal and external policies and standards and will have worked with a wide range of security technologies. Demonstrating excellent communications skills, you will have the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and have experience of working in a regulated industry. 

You will have working knowledge of:

  • Authentication and Authorisation technologies and protocols. 
  • Active Directory and Azure Active Directory. 
  • Cloud technologies. 
  • Emerging security technologies and standards. 
  • Wider IT market issues. 

Desirable experience: 

  • CyberArk 
  • Microsoft Azure security technologies 
  • RSA IG&L
  • OKTA
